Association for Promotion of DNA Fingerprinting and Other DNA Technologies is a society of professionals interested in promotion of various DNA technologies and their applications in health care, agriculture, biology, law and social welfare with emphasis on ethical, social, and legal implications of these technologies. The ADNAT has close to 600 members from all over the country and abroad, comprising of research scientists and scholars from universities, institutes, hospitals, nursing homes, forensic laboratories and corporate bodies.
The ADNAT holds a national convention every year with a two-day symposium and a 15-day residential training course on new DNA technologies. The idea behind all ADNAT conventions are that the symposiums are based on themes that surrounds around the use of these technologies.
