The research fellow will work on studying early pattern formation in Hydra vulgaris by studying effective physical forces emerging from the interaction of molecular players such as cytoskeletal proteins, and morphogen signals. The project has come out of a close interdisciplinary collaboration between biology and physics groups.
The research fellow will work in a multi-disciplinary area, making quantitative measurements using different techniques including microscopy, cell-based assays and molecular biology. The fellow may also be involved in the computational modeling of this system.
