Applications are invited from highly motivated NET qualified candidates for PhD position in the research group of Dr. Anmoldeep Randhawa and Prof. Uttam Chand Banerjee. The successful candidate will be provided Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) available in a DST funded AMITY-ICGEB collaborative project. The project duration is three years, and it is related to engineering filamentous fungi for bioplastic precursor. The successful candidate shall carry out research in the field of synthetic biology and bioproducts.
Jobdescription: The selected candidate will be conducting Molecular/Synthetic biology experiments to engineer the genome of filamentous fungi. The candidate will register for the PhD program at Amity University and will fulfil all the requisite duties and responsibilities towards attaining the PhD degree. The candidate will also be involved in preparing detailed technical reports summarizing the result and for the timely submission of these reports.
